RANCHO SANTA FE TECHNOLOGY COMPLETES COMPUTER DATA SYSTEM CONVERSION AND UPGRADE FOR GREATER BAY BANCORP
Alameda,
Calif. July 12, 2000 Rancho Santa Fe Technology, Inc., a leader
in
mission critical network communication services, has completed a
major
computer data system conversion and upgrade for Greater Bay
Bancorp. The
fast-track project involved four Mt. Diablo National
Bank locations recently
acquired by Greater Bay Bancorp in San Ramon,
Danville, Pleasanton and Walnut
Creek. Mt. Diablo National Bank is
one of seven Greater Bay Bancorp subsidiary
banks which serves
clients throughout Silicon Valley, San Francisco, the
San Francisco
Peninsula and the Contra Costa Tri Valley
Region.
Trestand Conrique,
president of Rancho Santa Fe Technology, Inc., said the
project
involved a conversion of Mt. Diablo's existing customer
service
representatives' computers and software applications to
Greater Bay Bancorp.'s
standard software applications and equipment
configurations. The fast-track
work was completed by Rancho Santa Fe
Technology after business hours and
on weekends to minimize
disruption to bank operations and customers.
Edwin Betancourt,
senior vice-president of Rancho Santa Fe Technology, said
that prior
to beginning the conversion/upgrade project, company
professionals
assisted representatives of Greater Bay Bancorp. with
implementation plans,
technical details and the formulating new data
system procedures. "Our
value-added approach is to support our
customers throughout the entire project,
including on-site follow-up
to respond to technical questions by employees
and managers and
trouble-shoot any potential problems that might experience."
He
said Rancho Santa Fe Technology is very experienced at handling
computer
system conversions and upgrades for financial institutions,
having completed
projects at more than 5,000 sites in the western
United States.
In addition, Betancourt said that the
Repair and Maintenance business unit
of Rancho Santa Fe Technology
has been retained by Greater Bay Bancorp to
maintain, repair and
restore their mission-critical network computer systems
within a
contract-specified rapid response time. To aide Rancho Santa
Fe
Technology's rapid response, the company will warehouse spare
equipment
and supplies as well as deploy field technicians to the
existing branch
locations in the Greater Bay Bancorp network.
